irregular peiod?

Hi guys.. so im 19 years old and i get my period about every 3-4 months, and it goes for 6-7 days. Its this normal? And will this effect me having children?

So just an update: 
I went to the doctors because i was sick and needed a Medical Cert for work and whilst i was in there he asked me how my anxiety and depression was going and ended up commenting on my weight in which has affected me for many years (even though im not that big) 
We did some tests and i am just in the overweight range at 84kg and 164cm tall. 
Anyway, we talked about if my weight could just be the main cause to me getting irregular periods and he said possibly but he sent me for blood tests anyway (have not yet gotten results) 
But ever since then ive been booked in to see a dietician and i've seen a physiotherapist, in which she has helped me with exercises and all that area. 
So i've pushed myself to go walking every morning for atleast 3-4km aswell as eating healthy and also playing a little muck around tennis for fun. 
It has been 24 days since i last had my period ans i was waiting for atleast another 3-4 months but yesterday i happened to get my period (with no symptoms) so maybe this exercise and eating healthy thing is working (i hope) or is it just a one off thing.

if you're in your first or second year of your period It's completely normal but if you've had your period for long time  you should definitely see a doctor. It could be a hormone imbalance or something completely different I'm no doctor but you should definitely think of seeing one. hope this helps good luck.👍🏼

You may want to get evaluated for PCOS. Not having a period could make it harder/ longer for you to concieve
