Is this book reliable?

Hey all! My mum gave me this sex Ed book. Being a 14 year old girl (14 tomorrow to be precise) is this a reliable book? Is this information true? Please comment! Thanks!

Ive never read it but from the snippet you posted it looks accurate. In addition to the ovulation thing though if you are planning to have sex sperm can stay in you for around 6 days so if you have sex before ovulation it could hang out there until an egg is released.

I think this is a good opportunity to ask your Mom some questions about what you are reading. It may be uncomfortable at first, but it's worth having that open communication and understanding wth your Mom. Sit down and talk to her about what you are reading.
