I also knew a girl name Engi pronounced *N- gee* she was from Egypt, my children's names are pretty simple besides my 4 yr old having two middle names, from oldest to youngest Julian, Aaliyah, Aria *pronounced ah-riah* we were pronouncing it R-ree-ah *yes i got it from pll* buuuttt a lot of ppl couldn't say it as well as the pediatrician kept pronouncing it how we say it now & it started to grow on us so we just changed pronounciation her name wasn't long thought of which is a whole diff story in itself
