Conceiving after mirena?

Question

So I had the mirena in for 5 years. I got it taken out on November 19th, 2014. My husband and I have been ttc since then and have had no luck. I want to know if anyone else has had this problem? I'm trying to be patient but we want this so bad!

I don't have person experience but my best friend conceived 4 months after getting mirena taken out. Good luck!

Praying for all of you! Xoxo My doctor said after three-six months, mirena should not be hindering you from getting pregnant.  I'm ovulating each month which is a good sign. Does anyone else use the clear blue ovulation tests? It will happen hang in there! I know it will. :) I tried this app to become more educated about the body and options for conceiving.

Hello ladies, I have a friend who had a mirena and got pregnant the month after taking it out. So it's possible!

I had the mirena for a year and i got a uteris infection and then i got it removed. I got pregnant withing 3 months.

I had mine out in January of this year. We just started TTC this month. I will keep you updated. I've been wondering the same thing myself because I've heard lots of stories of people unable to get pregnant afterwards. Best of luck to everyone!!

It's so sad! After I got the mirena taken out it took 3 months on the dot to even get a period. So I figured everything would be all crazy, I just got super emotional. We've been ttc since I've gotten it taken out and it's frustrating. My husband thinks he has a problem and I'm sure it's not him. Never getting another mirena! I'm praying for all of you! Thank you for the replies. It's nice knowing I'm not alone in this.

I had mine for 8 years,from may 2008-Feb 2015 and we are TTC now hopfully it won't take long.. I'll keep it posted

Same here, but mirena for 4 years. Been trying since November 2014, but it was removed in September. No luck at all so far. 😞

I had the mirena in for around 3/4 years got it took out and was pregnant within 1 month. Unfortunately miscarried but fell pregnant around 7/8 months later - my advice is not to try! I swear it works! Good luck xxx
