how much would be fair to charge?

My husband was telling me this morning that 2 of his co-workers are in need of child care. I am currently a nanny but they will be needing me less in the fall and it won't be enough to pay bills so I'm considering leaving and/or getting a second job but that would hinder my ability to care for my own child who is due any day now! 
The one co-worker also has a pregnant wife who is 4.5 months right now and the other has a 6 month old boy that needs child care. 
My husband joked that I should watch them out of our house (yes I know I need insurance and permits and licenses) and his co-workers loved the idea. We're all good friends and spent time together before we all started having kids- you know how it goes 🤷🏻‍♀️
But I'm considering it as it would allow me to stay home with my child and make money. But 2 newborns and an infant is a lot. The one friend said he spends about 700$ a month on childcare and thinks that's an insane amount but when I worked full time as a nanny I made that in a week so I'm not exactly sure what would be a fair price to charge if I did end up doing this!

I'd be feeding 2 extra children and having them in my home all day which honestly could be easy seeing as how most children at hay age sleep a lot and my husband and his co-workers work from 2am-12pm ish so I'm not exactly sure how long these kids would even be here - depending on when their wives work?

I nanny for two children. 18months and 36 months. I get anywhere from 15-20 an hour (depending on the day. Outings/ parks/ zoos/....)

Our in home daycare charges $35/day (we provided formula as she is a baby but later meals would be included). It's 8-9 hours a day for us.

I used to make 500 a week as a nanny for 3 kids over 10 years ago. But I cooked, cleaned, grocery shopped, took them all over town to activities did homework etc until 11-12 at night when the mother would get home from grad school after work. They were older school aged. Not infants.

You don't HAVE to get licensed. Just look up your state laws. I think*** my state law is 4 kids to one person. But it also depends on their age. 
It just looks better to be licensed. Then you've got State to deal with and deciding if you want to be on the Stars program. So lots of paperwork. I'm not saying don't do it. Just look at your options. 
As far as pay, I underpay myself. I've got several yrs experience,college credits,cpr and first aid certified,etc. if I were to go full time I'd research daycares on the area to find the average then charge a little under that. So like here, $190 for an infant (6weeks to 1yr) is the cheapest. I'd probably do $160ish a week. They'd obviously have to supply the food since it's an infant. For toddlers it's around $180 and drops $10 of potty trained. Since you're including food I'd stay closer to what daycare cost is as it can be expensive providing a well nutritional diet to kids.

Women on care.com charge anywhere from $5-$20 an hour. Depending on location, age of child, and whether they provide food for the child or the child's parent does. Maybe look on that site and see what people around your city are charging.

Here in MT it's about $25-35/day for infants up to 2. The state also caps infants at 3/caregiver think, including your baby. Definitely check into the limits as it might not be worth your time if you can only take 2

I think its a great idea! The permits and stuff depending on your state are not really that big of a deal once you figure it out. If you like it you have the potential to take on more kids later and you can spend all day with your baby! I would at least charge minimum wage.

I used to pay $200/week back in 2006  lol ~ the hours were from 8:30am-5:30pm. this was a registered at home daycare close to my house. The woman was a wonderful lady who helped my husband and I out. We had one child at the time  who was about a year old. We were with her for about two years. She fed my daughter breakfast and lunch and I think two snacks. Most days I would give my daughter breakfast at home before hand but she would give her something anyway. She had about 4 kids. That was the limit in my state
