Trying to decide between a baby carrier vs. a wrap. Which do you recommend and what brand?

Both are good. Wraps like the Moby wrap or good when they are very small, but as they get older you will want a more supportive wrap (A woven wrap like a Didymos) or soft structured carrier. The mobile wrap is made out of sort of a T-shirt material, so as they get bigger, it tends to sag and does not offer as much support, which can bother your back. I owned both a Moby and a woven wrap, and also a Pognae soft structured carrier, and an Infantino mai tai. All were good carriers.

I have a boba wrap and a cheap buckle carrier and I LOVE the buckle one. I used the boba like 3 times when she was really little but it took way longer for me to put on and made us both get hot. I can put the buckle one on is like 10 seconds and use it all the time, even my SO likes it. It's comfy too!  I got it on Amazon for around $20.

I love my Tula! And it is easy enough for my kids to use, too.

I loved my baby K'tan, but I'm going to try a Tula carrier with the next one. They look more comfy because they have more back support.

It's nice to have options, i loved a soft stretchy wrap for the brand new weeks (I liked the happy baby wrap) and I also liked having a lillebaby as she got bigger. Eventually i also started using a ring sling and a woven wrap. I still wear my toddler in a carrier often. I feel it's the best way to get around our city.

Both, wrap is amazing for when they are tiny & carrier are awesome for later around 3 months or so there are some that you can use from birth too

I loved my wrap in the early days, but by the time my son was about 10lbs it just wasn't that comfortable for long walks and he started to get annoyed in it - I think he found it restricted his movement too much.  I switched to an ergobaby which I really like and he's very happy. We use the ergobaby for most shopping trips and days out etc. We are quite outdoorsy and like long walks/hiking and for that sort of thing I have a baby bjorn Carrier One (not the old style awful crotch dangler type) which is the most comfortable for the wearer and the one my husband is willing to wear (the ergobaby is too girly for him lol).

My grandmother bought me both when I was pregnant. I never could figure out how to do the wrap. The baby carrier worked for us! It's Bounjie or something like that? It's in the car so I have no idea what the name of it is I only know it starts with a B

Ergo carrier (my 3 year old still goes in it!) and a karime or solly baby wrap - great for the first months and they are completely wrapped and supported!
