Can someone tell me what's going on

I take birth control and I've been with my boyfriend for a little over two years I forgot to take my birth control one day and did as the package said but he nevers comes in me except maybe precum. And I started getting like brown discharge a few days ago and still have it. What could this mean? I'm supposed to start my period next week
