Quitting the pacifier
My daughter is an oddball: the first three months of her life, she used a pacifier quite regularly. Then one day she just decided to stop using them, didn't want to have anything to do with them. Well, when her teeth really started to come in around 10 months, she was having a particularly fussy episode and I offered her a pacifier out of desperation, and lo and behold, she has been using one ever since. She's about 14 months now, and I can't quite figure out how to break the habit. Does anyone have any good suggestions about how to wean her off of them? I'm afraid quitting cold turkey would cause a panic.
