Relationship advice for young couple?

Question

I've been with my boyfriend for a year now. He's my everything, no matter how cliche that sounds. We haven't had any problems yet and are pretty good at communicating. Losing him is my biggest fear, so any advice on how to make it last or how to work it out if it gets rocky? I know we are teenagers (both 17) and most young relationships never last, but I'd like to make the most of the time I have. And maximize that time if I can. Thanks!!

I think some of the comments above are so cliche. Haha I have been with my fiancé for going on 8 years now and we started dating in high school (17). We have gone through 2 stillborns, multiple family struggles, continuous moving, job struggles, 3 doggies and so much more. I feel like success to any relationship is to listen to what your partner needs from your relationship. I think at that young of an age making sure you grow as your own person as well as a couple is HUGE!!!! In the end if your right for one another it'll work out

Understanding and communication is everything.
My SO and I got together when he was 15, I was 16. We're now 20 and (almost) 21 and this year marks our 5 year anniversary! It isn't always easy, I'll tell you that right now! There will be struggles, but all it really takes is the both of you COMPLETELY willing to work it out for the sake of your relationship! Sometimes it's hard, but talking it out and compromise is key.
Never go to sleep upset at each other, and always end the day with "I love you"s and kisses. If it was meant to be, it'll all work out and be worth it!

A relationship will last if everyone involved wants it to. That's a lot harder than it sounds. I've found, for my relationships, if I focus on the fact I love them, even when I'm hurt or upset by them, love will still be there after the hurt and use feelings have passed.

I'm also seventeen!! I've been with my boyfriend for 3 years and I have known him for about 10 years. my best advice is get to know each other as friends first, what I mean by that is build a very strong foundation. don't rush to the sexual/physical stuff, it's okay if you're already to that point but don't let your relationship be all physical and no talk. love each other as best friends and companions before lovers. also honesty. always always always be 100% honest. it will always come back to bite you if you're not (I know from too much experience). and compromise, you gotta work with each other if you want it to last. good luck girl! if you can try to focus on the happy memories you guys are making currently, cuz you never know how long it will last. if it doesnt last then at least you will have some experience under your belt and you will know what didnt work out :)

SIL & BIL have been together for 8 years now...together since high school
Me & my bf got together in high school we're 4 years and counting
