IUD SIDE EFFECTS????

Question

I've read on how after a lot of ladies have gotten the copper IUD put In, they have experienced alooooooot of cramping and spotting. I want to get it but if I have excruciating cramps and a tar coochie 24/7 is it worth having it put in? I'd understand if this would last a couple of weeks but I've read a lot have it for months! Can Anyone with the implant tell me how painful it is to have it put in? Thanks!! XOXOXOX

I loved how I felt during the year I was using it, my period was slightly heavier, just a bit crampy and amazingly regular. If you already have a heavy period or painful cramps, I wouldn’t recommend copper since it can make those symptoms even worse. 
 A friend with heavy periods and bad cramping tried it, and she said the first three periods were excruciating, but after that her body settled down. 
So...you’d have to see for yourself.

I cramp a week before my period, nothing overwhelming but I sure feel them. During the period of course cramps, and after the period I cramp for a couple of days. 
My period lasts 7 days so I cramp for about 17 days out of the month

Yes, you do get cramping but thats normal. For me, the first days after I got it, I had really painful cramps. Now, I only get cramps before I get my period, which usually only last 1 day or 2.  And the first year I got random spotting too but now only on my period.

I get some cramps, but if it's bad, it's only for one day and it was definitely a lot of spotting at first, but it's more regular now and my period is about 7 days long with one normal day and the rest of the week spotting on and off.. I love paragaurd! I've had it for 8 months now!
