How do you make it work?

Some relationships require no work and no energy. I had one of those where it was so easy and i felt connected.... I know there are people on here that will say relationships don't require work. I get it. Still, there are those relationships that need some work. I'm in that situation now... Yes I've thought of leaving... If it's not easy why bother right? But something tells me there's a lesson to be learned and a treasure to be discovered. I'm hopeful. Can you share about working at it? How's it going? Thanks for taking the time
