No nursery for baby...?!

My husband and I have 2 roommates in a 4 bedroom house, 4th "bedroom" is an office in the basement, and we've decided not to make one of them move rooms or move out to give baby girl her own room yet. For the first 6 months to a year she'll just share our room and sleep in a rock 'n play, maybe a crib if we rearrange.
Sometimes I feel weird not giving her a room but then reality hits and keeping this roof over her head is more important than her own room. We can't really afford to lose a roommate since I won't be working for a while, and may not go back at all.
Anyone else not doing a nursery for the baby?!

We don't have a room for baby here. Bassinet will move from lounge (at night) to our room (during the day)
We are moving in the next 6months so will have room once we move as our oldest will be in an outside room next to the house.

We ll set baby's crib and dresser in our room only... We are not going to have separate room for baby yet.. Dont worry about getting separate room for baby... I know few people who decorate nursery but baby ends up in their room or they do co-sleep.. We are arranging one corner in our room for nursery and decorate one wall with de-cal to welcome my lil one.. Dont take stress... Babies can share parents room for 1st year or may be more if required.. Good  luck

We have a 'nursery' which shares a rooms with my 7 year old daughter. It's basically a 'baby storage' room that a monster threw up pink and purple inside everywhere. It's my daughters room until about 6-10 months  after the baby is born and she starts to sleep in her own room. the crib is set up with us. Nurseries are a waste of decorations and money. Wait until it's a toddler to worry about a room and making it cool lol

I have an office off of our master bedroom that we've transformed into the nursery. We'll have a bassinet by our bed and most likely will be using the nursery to keep baby stuff in but not really using it as her room until she's a bit older. I like having the space to keep baby stuff, but a baby doesn't need their own whole room, you'll be fine!

With my first we did a nursery. He is 13 months and has yet to sleep in his room, nor do I want him to yet. Essentially it's a play room and we use his changing table in there as well. We're having another boy this time and I'm not doing another nursery. When everyone is ready we'll make our spare bedroom into the baby's room. We could have easily done without a nursery for our first and just put his things in our room.

My son had a nursery but didn't use it for sleeping until after 6 months. He was in our room. My daughter will do the same. Baby doesn't need a room, just a safe place to sleep.

We didn't do a nursery for our first, nor this baby. First babe was in our room until he was 10 months, then we transitioned him to his own room. Then we were able to decorate his room with more toddler type things versus baby. I think a nursery is unnecessary and a waste of resources. The AAP recommends room sharing for 6-12 months as well!
