Is chicken, fish, and eggs killing me?
My brother insisted that I watch "What The Health" on Netflix lastnight and they informed me on so many that I've been misinformed about. I'm currently on what I thought was a very healthy diet. I only eat fruit, veggies, chicken, fish, and egg whites. However, the documentary basically said that all of those foods are unhealthy as sh*t and I should just be eating a plant based diet. I totally understand because these are the foods that our body is naturally accustomed to but not being able to ever have like 1 Dorito (which I love so so much) or let alone 1 cookie on cheat day frightens me. I understand why I should give up meats & dairy because apparently it's very very harmful for us and is killing us and is one of the number one leading causes of cancer but is it decreasing my life expectancy every single day because that frightens me as well? I have egg whites every morning with fruit so am I contributing to my death every morning? I'm just so baffled because as much as I want to convert over to being a vegan, it frightens me that I can never have have whole wheat spaghetti or a grilled chicken salad. But I have to because the meats that I'm eating that I thought were healthier than the red meats and processed meats and that I thought were a "healthy fat" have a high chance of causing me cancer right? I'm just so confused by this newfound info.
