Birth control cause bloating?

I've recently started birth control in the last couple weeks and I'm just wondering if it's really normal to make me extremely bloated. I never use to bloat or anything but now I do and my stomach feels kinda hard. And will it go down with time? also is there anything I can do to bring some of the bloating down?

I definitely depends on the type of pills you’re on and what hormones are in them. When I started Yasmin I had the same problem and was bloated for almost a month but my doctor said it was normal when starting new hormonal pills. If you aren’t feeling normal I’d suggest a trip to the doctor to make sure there aren’t any issues or negative reactions to what’s in the pill ❤️
