I've been on the non-traditional use of Nuvaring where I leave it in my body for a full 4 weeks and reinsert one immediately every 4 weeks since January of 2016. I'm wondering how other people who are doing the same thing are having periods? I had normalish periods at the end of the 4 weeks for like 4 months and then last summer I went like 2 months between periods. Then in the fall, I randomly started bleeding all the time like every two weeks and for more than a week at a time. So I went to the doctor to figure out why I was bleeding so much and we decided I should just try the traditional use of the ring to have a set cycle. So for one cycle, I took it out after the third week and put one in a week later. I have had one period since then and it's been over two months since I've bled at all. Wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience.
