Tampon breaking!

So I've been using these U by Kotex click tampons and when ever I take them out they split almost in half. I don't wear them for more than four hours and they're pretty new. When I remove that tampon it kinda hurts. What wrong with it? (The picture is actually one that's unused and I actually just pulled it apart very easily, but that's what it looks like after I've used it.)
