ttc #2....charting question

We are currently trying for #2. With #1 we didn't chart or do anything. This month I started taking my bbt. I am 10 dpo and my temp is still high (98.17). Is there a certain day that my temp would drop if I wasn't pregnant? I took a test this morning and it was negative. Trying to stay positive but also want to be realistic. Thanks!
