How do you cope with your SO going out without you?

So I've realized that obviously I can't be with my SO all the time everywhere and so I've been trying to get better at having separate lives outside of each other. He's a work party right now that I couldn't make it to (I have a stomach virus). And I'm having a hard time not missing him and wishing he was home. So how do you cope with it?
