I have been fighting since I found out I was pregnant to get on Medicaid... They're taking their sweet time of course... Even though I made clear that I'm diabetic. I have been without metformin for several months. I was newly diagnosed when using the term "pre-diabetic" was a thing... Apparently it's not anymore. So... That's where I'm at on my a1c. I'm right at the end of that or right at the level where full blown diabetes is...

Anyway, I was prescribed metformin (but am terrible with pills so I wasn't taking it religiously... Id remember on and off)...

I worry that now that I'm pregnant, me not taking metformin can cause a miscarriage. I decided to take it upon myself to Google some known causes of miscarriage, and uncontrolled diabetes is listed... I am not insulin dependant... So... Idk if that's what that pertains too.

I'm hoping one if you guys might know the answer to that or if being without medication is okay for the short term. Hopefully in two weeks I'll be able to call and make my first obgyn appointment, but until then I have to do without!
