What would happen iffff?

Question

I take my birth control pill consistently. What would happen if I changed the time that I took it or took it at a different time on a day? I use it for my period and as a source of protection.

Also I took mine different times constantly mostly between 8pm-3am some times the next morning. I was on it over a year and nothing. He always came inside no condom. 
The first/second time we had completely unprotected sex after me getting off the pill we got pregnant. I'm now almost 16 weeks.
