Scared For My First Time! HELP

i'm 16 and probably not going to have sex any time soon but it has been a thing on my mind and i want to be prepared. the idea of just using a condom for protection (against getting prego) makes me anxious so please tell me... should i start taking the pill once the time comes? which pill? side affects?😬

please no "just don't have sex if you don't want a baby" comments:) i'm well aware of the consequences to bare so that's why i'm asking for advice on how to prevent pregnancy.

i just get so anxious haha but i think that's a good thing to be extra cautious.
