My son will be 4 in November.. he's got a disability called "schizencephaly" which is a rare disability where pieces of his grey matter in his brain are missing. His neurologist when he was first born said he would most likely not be blue to use his legs.. BUT GUESS WHAT?! right before his 2 year old birthday, he started pulling himself up to his knees only, & right before he turned 3 started pulling himself up fully!!!! & now at almost 4 he is now furniture walking & trying to let go as if he WANTS to walk, & when you hold his hands, he knows he has to move his legs to walk!! He knows where all his body parts are, knows who momma & daddy are, his auntie Julia, Grammys and Grammys etc! He's always a happy child, rarely gets mad.& loves to get into things like a normal child would (: he does go in Tuesday for a 3 day EEG to see where his seizures are coming from whether they're from the disability or if their general epilepsy seizures.. but he's my world! & I love him like no other!!
