Dear xxxxx,

In just a few weeks we have an appointment that one way or another will likely change our life together. We may be presented with some very serious decisions that we will need to make together. We may also be presented with news that we have no options for starting a biological family together.

Either way, I can imagine both situations will test our strength as a couple. I truly think it's how we handle things together in times of adversity that is more defining than how we interact when everything in life is going our way.

At the end of the day, we have so much to be grateful for. I love you so much and no matter what, our lives together will continue to be fulfilling and enriched by everything else that is so beautiful.
