Birth Control
I've been on birth control (the pill) consistently for the past two and a half years (have been on other methods in the past) in addition to being with the same person. Ever since I started the pill I've had issues. Initially I was bleeding 2 weeks out of the month my skin was breaking out, etc. I switched pills and things began to regulate although I gained about 10lbs but I could deal with it. About 6 months ago I switched pills to a generic and have since gained 30lbs. I switched again and am now constantly spotting. I do not want to take birth control any longer. I do not like the way it makes me feel emotionally and I don't like the physical effects it's had on me. Prior to staring the pill (2.5 years ago) for the first time in my life my cycle had regulated itself and I was able to lose weight (through nutrition and exercise). Anywho I'm interested in getting off the pill and tracking my fertility, my boyfriend is extremely supportive and is actually more okay with it then I am. I'm very nervous and do not want an unplanned pregnancy. I was wondering if anyone has any experience and success with tracking fertility and using it as a method of birth control and if they could give me some tips/pointers. Thanks in advance :)
