I recently got the IUD and had major anxiety when my period was delayed by 15 days and I was getting cramps. Scouring the internet for sources didn't help! It just made me draw crazy conclusions and upped my stress levels. I went to the doctor to get counselling, a checkup and updated pap test. She checked my strings and cervix and she said that everything seemed normal. And the next day my period came in full force as described, with all of its awful first-time cramping etc.
