Period where are you?

So basically I started birth control pill  a month ago and I was supposed to start my period 10 days ago. Is skipping your period a part of being on birth control? Because I'm getting worried and me and my bf have been having sex sooo idk please help I'm new to BC.

Lots of things can happen when you put hormones into your body. Late period, weight gain are just a few. If you look on your prescription it can give you side effects and if it's not on there then look at what brand you have and look online. Also if you're that worried talk to your gyno.

If you waited the required amount of time, you should be fairly protected, though it works best when youve been taking it for longer than the minimum waiting period. That being said, even perfect use is not 100%. That being said, birth control messes with your body and it takes times to acclimate.
So take a test, watch your body, and try not to stress too much. If you can try speaking to a doctor and they can give you a more informed opinion

Have you had unprotected sex?? They normally tell you to use back up, for the first two weeks, or so... but it can be the birth control too, everyone body is different

I agree with everyone so far. Everyone's body is different & everyone reacts different to different kinds of BC. Some pills & other birth controls are designed so that you go without having periods, but your gyno usually tells you if it does or not. Lots of factors come into play & our bodies are weird in general. Don't stress.
