Do you think drivers on the opposite side of the road should be required to stop when a funeral procession comes past them?
So in my state, Kentucky, it's the law to stop if you're on a two lane road like a regular highway or in town, but if there are more than two lanes you don't have to stop, but many still do. I personally don't see the purpose, I don't see how it pays respect, but that's just me. I still stop when I'm legally required to.
I don't think anyone should have to stop unless you're waiting to turn in the same direction the procession is going, in that case it should be illegal in my opinion to cut in front of someone in the procession. It messes with the flow of the procession since you would be stopping at lights and such, when the people in the procession would likely have a police escort and be able to continue on and ignore signs and stoplights. What do you think?
