Age gap for c sections?

Hi ladies! I just had my daughter two months ago but I was told by my doctor not to get pregnant again for another two years. I was wondering if you were told to wait a certain amount of time after having a c section.

Mine told me 2 years. BUT I said I want to try vaginal birth next time. And he still told me 2 years. Anyone else hear something similar? I wanted my babies closer in age.

I was 37 with my first so they told me if I wanted another, to start trying right away. I guess my age and my previous losses outweighed any c section concerns. We waited till our little boy was near two to start trying, though...

My doctor's been working with pregnant women for 40+ years. After my first section she said that the body heals itself remarkably. It's best to wait a year, but she's had no negative outcomes with moms who got pregnant even right away. Since I ruptured with my last section though, she strongly advised using birth control for a year, and then not actively trying for a bit longer.
