Birth control causing bad acne

I never really had bad acne before I started birth control , it would be like maybe a couple spots a cystic one once or twice, but I got on birth control to help it but it has gotten worse than it's ever been, I'm breaking out on my chin and cheeks I never broke out there, and it's leaving scars, I don't know if I should stop taking it or wait it out the 3 months, I'm on month 2. I'm just really self conscious about it.
