How bad is the depo shot ?

I heard that some women gain a lot of weight get really bad side effects I was thinking about getting it but I'm hearing all these bad things about it . The pills I'm not sure about them I took one and it broke me out the next day and had me moody

Horrible side effects for me. 
-Gained a lot of weight
-Migraines from hell
-Literally had abdominal pains once a month that felt like someone was ripping my uterus out
-Dizzy spells
-Exhaustion
-Nausea

I got one shot and gained close to 30 pounds. I bled for an entire YEAR after I got the shot. I wouldn't recommend it for anyone 😳

I had a constant period. They say it takes 3 months for your body to adjust. I gave it 9. With pretty much a period the WHOLE time. Terrible.

I have a close friend that had a bad reaction to it. Not only did she get pregnant on it, but she gained a TON of weight and just couldn't lose it no matter how hard she tried. She got her stomach stapled last year and finally got back down to a healthy weight.
