Shave or wax??

Question

So I've been debating on wether or not I should go get waxed for the big day. I really don't want to have to want to worry about hair down there after the baby comes plus I feel gross bleeding and with hair on my goodies. Has anyone ever gotten waxed before? Suggestions please?!

I began waxing at 27 weeks, going back every 3-4 weeks; it's really not so bad. The lady I go to is aware of pregnancy causing more sensitivity and pain so she works especially fast and in smaller sections. I think it's worth asking around and finding someone who has experience waxing women during pregnancy. Even though the service is the same for anyone pregnant or not, there are a few things they can do to make you as comfortable as possible. (Another example: They should recline the table so you're not flat on your back.)

I'd say wax. I did before and stopped for a bit. Went back a couple weeks ago. I don't want to have to deal with the itchiness of hair growing back shaving. I plan to go again in about three weeks one last time before giving birth. I'm 33 weeks. Definitely uncomfortable but worth it. I figure if I can stand that, then I'm prepared for labor pains. Ha ha!

I just got my last wax before baby is due :) I would recommend getting a sugar wax over the wax with the fabric strips laid over it. It doesn't rip your skin, only adheres to hairs. It's uncomfortable and hurts (they're ripping hairs outta your cooch. Of course it's going to hurt) but it only takes 15 minutes, and if you're like me I can't see what the hell is going on down there. No way I'm blindly swiping a razor down there. It's lasts much longer than shaving and the hairs don't grow back as thick and not so many grow back. Look into sugar waxing, it saved my life!

My doctor said to do neither 🤷🏻‍♀️
She said that both can possibly cause infection and that if it needs to be done they will do it when I come in. 
But if you're set in doing one I would wax!

I got a wax for the first time at about 25 weeks pregnant.. and planned on getting two more before baby was due... and my first time was my last! It was the WORST pain I have ever felt....since your so sensitive down there, with the extra blood flow. I would not recommend a waxy especially if it will be your first one.

Brazilian Wax! I get one every 4weeks and yes being pregnant is hurts like crazy! But it's worth it because you don't have to shave and get in grown hairs or bumps or itchyness. I'm due for my wax the end of July and I know it will hurt but it's 1000x better my lady is really good and she does it quick.

I get waxed monthly and have for almost 11 years! I plan on going for last time 2 weeks before I'm due. I did this for last pregnancy as well for same reasons you mentioned plus I hate hair and wanted to feel good prior to being naked in front of room full of strangers!

A full brazilian wax takes about 15 minutes to remove all your hair (including from your butt crack which I LOVE - although getting my butt crack available to my waxer with the big belly is a challenge lol) and it is sooo worth it! I feel exacty the same way with the hair making it feel dirtier so I usually get brazilian waxes. My last one before baby is scheduled for July 26 which is a little less than 2 weeks before she's due (so I'll have some regrowth but it shouldnt be too bad). 
As far as pain, it hurts the worst the first time you do it because your hairs are deeply rooted and not used to being pulled out. If you keep regular wax appointments after that it will hurt less each time. It does supposedly hurt more during pregnancy and your period due to increased blood flow to the region, making you more sensitive. Last time I went I treated it like a pain exercise for practicing for labor! 😂 like labor, it hurts A LOT while your hair is being ripped out, but when your hair is NOT being ripped out (between pulls) it does not hurt at all! So kind of like contractions! I practiced breathing and tried to not panic about the next pull and it was a good little exercise! 
After, you may be sore or tender in the area for a day or two but it is not going to be painful, just slightly delicate. That's my experience during pregnancy. Non-pregnant waxes I felt perfectly fine immediately after with no soreness. 
I have always gone to the European Wax Center. It is a chain so you might want to look up if there's one near you. If it's your first time you can get a big discount on brazilian waxes. They use hard wax not strips which from what I have heard hurts less.
