Friends or Wife/husband? Who would u choose

Was watching a movie with fiance and this scene came up where a guy had to choose between his partner and his friends.. i jokingly said to my fiance who would u pick and he said friends.... i said haha ok really? And he was adament he would choose friends. I was kinda offended.

God forbid I should ever have to choose, but I'm not married to my friends... I've made a lifelong commitment to my husband.  I'd choose my husband.

If he would rather be with friends, then you shouldn't get married

When you get married, your SO becomes your family. So, that said, I chose my family over friends. When you marry, you make a committment to the other person. I would put aside everyone for my husband because I decide he would be the one I want to spend my life with.

I wouldn't expect my friends nor my husband to ever make me choose between them. Honestly, my decision would be made based on why I was put in that position. Is my husband abusive and/or controlling? Are my friends bad influences and cause problems in my relationship? I don't think it's really a black and white question.

It really upset me because id pick him straight after my kids....

My Master and I have had this discussion before and the only way either of us would choose others over each other is with our children. We both agree that although life without each other would be dreadful, unbearable, and unfulfilled  our children deserve to live a full life. Other then our children we will always choose each other.
