And she doesn't fall back asleep until 2-2.5hrs later !!! Ugh so frustrating!!! This has only started happening before she turned 7 months.

Same! Been going on for weeks now, she now only stays awake for about 20mins....fingers crossed it continues to improve!

My daughter was waking at 2/3am for 2 hours then only drifting off for 30 mins, was tough! Went on for about 7 weeks 😐 only this week have i seen an improvement. I think it is the affects from leap 5

I don't know if this will help you but I started putting a 4 ounce bottle of water in bed with my LO and instead of crying upon waking she's been talking and playing with that and falling back asleep. She isn't even crying. I've been watching her on the monitor. Now if it's 8am and it's time to get up she'll quickly lose interest but it seems to be working for middle of the night wake ups. **It's funny because she's not very good at holding it but it's just enough to keep her calm. There's never more than an ounce or 2 gone.

My daughter will wake up at than time to eat too and I just put her back in her crib.  Sometimes she takes an hour to go to sleep sometimes 5 min.  She just plays until she's ready

we are pro cry it out. So after about a week or so of me waking up and feeding her we decided to let her handle it. the first night we did that she woke up at 2 and again at 5 then woke up for good at 7am. these last 2 nights she has slept through until 6am. which is her normal time. she sleeps from 8pm to 6am normally. So hopefully she has gotten over it.
