False negative?

How common is it to get a false negative test? I took one the first day after my missed period and then second day after and they where both negative. But I am now 4 days late an I'm starting to get worried. Has anyone ever experienced a false negative and ended up being pregnant?

You are 4 days late. It could be too early to detect hcg levels that are high enough.
Depending on how regular or irregular your period is. It could also just be a little late.
Stressing will definitely not help your situation though.
