ECV for Breech?

Question

Anyone have a breech baby that had to be turned via external cephalic version (ECV)?
I'm tentatively scheduled for tomorrow, was curious how many of you ended up in labor because of it.

I cancelled mine after having a bad feeling about it 3 weeks ago. Last Friday had another ultrasound to see if she flipped on her own, and found a huge blood clot in my placenta, which she would have had to pass with her head like a speed bump. Dr. Agreed it was a good thing we didn't do it. I'm scheduled for a c section this Friday (39w) due to breech, but glad it's planned and not an emergency due to an ECV. Many other people have had successful stories after an ECV. Good luck!

Not sure if you've already done the procedure, but I had a successful ECV yesterday.
My little boy had been head down until about week 32 and we did the ECV at 37 weeks 6 days. It hurt a lot, but it only lasted 10 minutes at the most. They had to try several times because his head kept getting stuck at a specific point. The dr said she would only try one more time and luckily, he cooperated. They monitored his heart rate during the procedure. It did get high, but nothing crazy and after his heart rate was exactly the same as before. They did monitor him for 3 hours after the procedure to make sure everything was good.
Everyone in the room was concerned not just with baby but with me as well. They would have stopped at any point if the pain had become too overwhelming. They sent me home with an abdominal binder to try to keep him from moving again. Now we wait to see when he's ready to join us out here in the world!

I had one done at 36.6 for frank breech baby. This is my first baby and it did not work. It was a bit uncomfortable, but no complications occurred. I've been doing some inversions, cat- cow poses, acupuncture, moxabustion, chiropractic adjustments, swimming with flip turns and I don't think anything has worked... so c section is scheduled for Monday.

I had one last week, however it wasn't successful. It's definitely uncomfortable, although I wouldn't say it's painful. My little one still hasn't turned on her own. I have an appt tomorrow to see if we need to sched a c sec. if you have any other questions about the procedure feel free to ask. Good luck to you!

I'm 38 weeks and My little guy is oblique, my doctor will not do a ECV because it doesn't always work and it hurts. He has until Thursday to straighten himself out or it's a c-Section next week

My baby was footling breech and they scheduled me, I spent the week before doing inversions/elevating my hips, went in to do the procedure and he had turned! Good luck mama!
