Could you tell when your baby was head down without an ultrasound?

I'm 30 weeks and for awhile now I've noticed when my baby has hiccups I always feel them really low, she also pushes out in the area between my ribs and it just feels like this big lump lol so maybe that's her butt? 🤷‍♀️

He has been head down since about 26 weeks but I can definitely tell he is. I can feel the roundness of his head and then his little hands moving really low. His feet are constantly kicking my ribs and you can tell which way he leans his butt. It's so weird haha. I am 33 weeks today.

I was able to tell closer around 34 weeks because he'd move sideways at 30 weeks he still had good wiggle room. I felt along one side of my belly and if I felt a constant curve it was his back and wherever I felt the most kicks and punches I figured were hands and feet facing. I got hiccups down low so that's his head. Went to the Dr and I was right. I did a lot of self education and research while pregnant.
