L&D scare yesterday....

Bree

Fyi, I'm 29.2 weeks pregnant....

So last night around 9pm, I started cramping, and having really bad lower back pains.....I took a nap, and woke up at about 1030pm, and the pain was a lot worse. My back & side would tense up, and release (super painful). I called L&D, they said to try drinking water, and of it doesn't help to come in. It didn't help. So my husband came home from work....We went to L&D, got there about 1205am. They monitored baby & contractions.....And low and behold I was having contractions! (Not good). They used a speculum, and swabbed me to see if I would go into pre term labor in the next 24hrs....They sent it to the lab, And it came back NEGATIVE (YAY). They checked to see if I was dialated (No dialation 😁). They checked my urine, I was NOT dehydrated (y'all have no idea how much water I drink) So they continued to monitor the contractions for 20mins, and gave me water anyways until they stopped, and then I was discharged to go home around 330am. I've had back cramping, etc. Before....But NOT AS BAD, I couldn't take it....It couldn't have been normal. And guess what ? Had I listened to the nurse on the phone, I wouldve stayed my butt at home, and just said "It's probably normal, I'll just drink water & go back to sleep"...Listen to YOUR GUT. The Dr. was glad I came in, she said we could've been dealing with a situation of having a preterm baby at home. The scariest part was that they moved me from the first little room with the really tiny bed they have you in b4 they put you in a delivery room....(forget what it's called, lol) and I was moved into a L&D room, that had all the essentials for baby after birth. Which I thought was weird bc I've been to L&D b4 when I was passing clots, and I stayed in the first little room, until I was discharged. Just imagining my baby coming early was sooooo scary. But thank God I'm okay, and we're continuing our 3rd trimester inside the womb lol ! 😊💙💙
