How far along do you have to be to hear your babys heart beat??

We saw ours at 9w3d but I'm hoping that I'll be able to hear it April 2nd when I have my ob app when I'll be 13w4d. With my son we found out he was 3 weeks behind what they though he was so we heard his heartbeat close to 10 weeks when my Dr thought I was 13.

I saw my babes at 10 weeks and doctor said we wouldn't be able to hear it clearly til about 12 unfortunately my next appointment is when I'm 14 weeks
