too hot for swaddle?

baby swaddled for only an hour earlier & she felt SO hot in our room that has ac, i'll probably be calling the hospital later but last night her second night of birth they used two swaddles on her, she slept good through the night only woke up for some feeds but what should i do? she loves being snuggled but i obviously can't snuggle her overnight & the swaddle helps so much. she seems to like it i just hate how hot she gets

Are you using cotton muslin swaddles? The ideal temperature for a babies sleeping area is between 68-72 degrees. My daughter always got so hot but loved the swaddle. We started using Little Unicorn's swaddles and I'd put her in just a plain onesie. Sometimes even in just a diaper. You can get linen clothing for sleep as well since it's more breathable. Aden & Anais make clothing that's made from cotton muslin as well

I have the SwaddleMe pod, and it's really lightweight. I usually put my daughter in it with a onesie on and she is comfortable. It unzips from the top and the bottom, so you can have their legs or arms free, or for easier diaper changes.
