Is baby up 2 long? Whats YOUR baby doing?

Question

Liam is 12 weeks 3 days.  
He sleeps 9-11 hrs at night (usually with 1 small feeding) 
When he wakes for the day he wants to stay awake at least 2 hr. 
During this time he is talking smiling squealing kicking and just really happy. 
At the 2hr mark he starts "fussy smiling" where he will be smiling,  but starting to fuss.  Lol.  (Cute haha) 
I know he's getting/Is tired and I put him down for a nap and he's asleep in minutes.

Everywhere I read,  (mostly "babywise") it says waketime should be like an hr. 90 min tops!  
Then in the evening he's up at least 3 hrs. (Happy!) Like..   6-9... Or maybe 5:30-9 with a 30 min catnap. 
Today he slept til around 7am. Ate. Back to sleep til 9:30. 
And he just went down for a nap @ 11:45am
Am I doing something wrong here?

Sounds perfect! My baby is always awake for 2-3 hours at a time. Usually she'll have a feed around the 3 hour mark and go for a short nap if it's the morning or she'll have a longer nap in the afternoon. Every baby is different, this obviously works for yours so don't stress (:

My baby will not act tired if I'm playing with him but he becomes hyperactive if I have him awake past his sleepy window. He's more traditional I guess - he's 12 weeks 3 days also and struggles if I have him up longer than 70-80 minutes after waking. The bad reaction is that he can't stay asleep for his usual 45 minute nap Bc alertness hormones have kicked in prior to that nap. I've had other friends who have babies that stay up significantly longer. I think the sign that he's fine is that he goes to sleep relatively easily at naps & bed time, he seems happy if nerds are met (usually) and he's growing well. If so, then just enjoy the sweet time :)

What you're doing sounds good to me! Whatever works best for you two. My baby who is 14 weeks will be up for no more than 2 hours during the day and naps anywhere from 1-2 hours. When evening rolls around she stops napping, usually around 5-5:30pm (she fell into this schedule on her own). This is her longest stretch during the day and will be asleep by 8 most nights. She wakes up once around 2am and goes back to sleep until 6:30-8am. I've also read the nap every 90 minutes but every baby is different. I asked my pediatrician and she gave me the "2&2" guideline. Awake for no more than 2 hours and nap for no more than 2 hours. I follow this loosely depending on how our day goes.

Every baby is different, there's lots of guides/suggestions but not many babies are "textbook". My little guy will some days have a couple of 30 minute cat naps and some days he will wake up at 7:30am and stay up until 1pm then go for a 2-3 hour nap.
