Implantation problems?

So my husband and I have been trying to conceive for almost 2 years (with a 6month break due to him being in a severe accident). I have an appt to see my gyn next week for a fertility workup, but I wanted to see if anyone else has been through a potential problem I've noticed. I use ovulation tests and take prenatals. We also use preseed when needed.  My last 2 cycles I've noticed that we are trying on the most fertile day and then 3-4 days later I start bleeding and have some clottage. I'm thinking it could be that the egg is just not implanting?? Has anyone else had this problem and if so,  what was the result?

I have been trying for two years as well and we are seeing a RE now . The ovulation testing kits are not always effective I thought we were timing everything perfect based off of the clearblue ovulation tests and turns out we were missing fertile window ! So now going through RE they do blood work and ultrasounds to check follicles , I've also done a trigger shot and that makes you ovulate within 48 hours so you won't miss your fertile window . do you know when your most fertile day actually is ??? because technically when you get a peak opk it means you WILL OVULATE in 12-36 hours. not that you already have. it also takes sperm up to 12 hours to get to the right place in your fallopian tube to wait for that egg to be pushed through. it's literally ALL about timing. i always say BD 2 days before peak and if your ovulation isn't regular then every other day until you get your peak. the day of Peak and the next day. just to keep it day

3-4 days after your peak ovulation day? That sounds like a problem. Either with your luetal phase length or with thinking you ovulate later than you are
