IUD *and* the pill?

I have an IUD but i really miss the effects of my birth control pill. it stabilised my mood, and my periods were very light and regular. Is it possible to be on both at once?

I've heard about people doing both but you really need to talk to your doctor about it. If you got your IUD kind of recently, then you could still be adjusting. It can cause irregular periods for 3-6 months

If you're using a copper iud then you're safe to double up.
