UTI - natural remedies that worked for you?

Blood test showed I have a UTI.  As far as I know I've never had this prior to pregnancy.  Has anyone tried naturopathic means and got rid of a UTI?  I'm taking some major supplements right now and have a follow up appointment in a week. I don't want to take antibiotics but have the prescription for it.

There are none. UTIs can only be treated by antibiotic. Without it, the infection will eventually spread up into your kidneys. Once it is there, it will cause excruciating back pain, bloody urine and a variety of other issues. If it's not taken care of, the infection can spread and cause sepsis, and if that is left untreated, will lead to septic shock and then death.

I'd take the antibiotics if I were you, especially if you've had a urine sample confirming infection. Pregnancy isn't a time to risk not treating infections, you don't want that to go to your kidneys.

Take the antibiotics. I once had a UTI that spread to my kidneys. I thought the UTI had gone away after flooding my system with pure cranberry juice etc.. about 3 weeks later I was in the ER with a kidney infection that was WAY more painful than the UTI and needed way stronger drugs.

I'm probably the one you should ask. I suffered from chronic UTI which means I get a UTI every time my husband and I have intercourse. i tried everything on this planet nothing worked. The bacteria became super strong and I had to take an iv antibiotics. anyways what worked for me is something called D-mannose. I buy it from amazing and u haven't had a UTI for a most a year now

Cranberries. I've had a lot of UTIs, only one of them I needed antibiotics. The others went away with either dried cranberries, cranberry juice and/or pills. I had one that just kept returning, so I went in and got antibiotics for that one.

A glass of water and a tablespoon of baking soda! It doesn't taste good but it works every time! Depending on how severe it is, you may have to do it for a few days.. I do it once in the morning and once at night when I catch it early on. Hope that helps!

I am prone to them so i always go to the store and get 100% pure cranberry juice not like ocean spray or anything 4-6 ounces of it each morning can be really beneficial it is definitely tart so be prepared for that haha

100% cranberry juice has been supported by some studies as a preventative, dunno how it would be for a current infection. Chugging water helps too (just a few big glasses) if it's just starting. Try those a few days but if after 2-3 days your symptoms aren't completely gone, def do the antibiotic. Also if it's already really bad I'd go straight to antibiotic!
