I currently work at an apartment community as a leasing consultant. My boss is on maternity leave until August so I am working with the Assistant manager closely day to day. My problem is he is very bossy and rude. I have been in the customer service industry for 6 years. For 4 years I was the Guest Services Manager at a hotel so I am very much used to providing people with a great experience. When I'm working with someone and trying to convince them to lease an apartment I do what I can to make them happy and make sure the process is convient. When I started, i was told that customer service was so important. I allowed a lady to use my computer to print off her bank statement so I could verify income which is completely allowed, he walks by and gives her the dirtiest look. When she left the Assistant manager tells me to quit saying yes so much and make sure people know that they can't get whatever they want from me and take over my desk. I explained that she was just printing off income and he says "either way, quit being such a people pleaser, like I get it you wanted the bitch to sign, but you were being way too giving". This isn't his first time attacking my character like this and when my manager gets back from maternity leave, I'm thinking of quitting. My numbers are great, I do better than anyone they've ever had in here but I'm so tired of being bullied by this guy who is supposed to be my boss. The last time I complained about him the other boss told him and he accused me of not keeping it real. Idk if I'm being sensitive or what.
