How do you deal with depression??

I just kind of sit there. Feeling empty, sad and alone. But that's just me I've had severe depression for as long as I can remember. Music helps sometimes.

I know I've been struggling with it for years, but I'm also a thick headed, stubborn person who doesn't like anyone or anything getting over on me, as messed up as that sounds.. if I feel like things are too much I like to read or listen to podcasts. Something that will take my mind off things and get something else to focus on. Music only makes it worse for me. If I feel that it is winning, I get angry. Mostly at myself for being weak. Definitely do not like to show my anger to others because I feel that makes me weaker. I am just a special brand of wth is wrong with you?! At the end of the day, I keep to myself and read a lot.

Smoke a bowl of Mary Jane & listen to some music. It helps settle my brain from all of the anxiety & millions of constant thoughts running through my head & it enables me to focus on one thing at a time & think of the best possible outcome

I usually eat a lot of junk and sleep a lot. Not a very healthy way though.

I don't like talking to people, I exercise when I'm going through a depressive episode, I don't want to but I force myself to, doesn't do much but it's better to distract yourself than to not do anything and feel empty, I watch shows and movies and distract myself a lot, music helps, painting and doing art helps, socializing and going out and doing things really helps...

It depends, a lot of times my depression is pretty immobilizing so I end up just curled up crying until I can't anymore. 
If I'm v lucky then something will come along to snap me out of it. Either my bf will distract me or my dad will call or something. Anything that will pull me out of it long enough that I can do stuff again. 
Once that happens then I usually try knitting or studying, doing something productive. And that helps me to keep it away for a while.

Besides music I sometimes shut down. I won't come out of my room or want to eat. I try to hide it but it is hard for me.
