Which convertible car seats are best for babes that run hot?

Question

My son has always ran hot. Since he was born, he has been miserable in his car seat. The only way to keep him comfortable is if we blast the A/C. He sweats every time we put him in his Chico key fit. 
He is outgrowing his infant car seat and we are in need of buying the next car seat up? Does anybody know what would be a good fit for smaller cars or what would make my baby less hot?

We love our Chicco Nextfit.. and I wouldn't buy anything else. I have vents in the back of my SUV so I just keep my daughter that way. Have you seen the extenders that go from the vent in the front to the back to give direct airflow to baby/child? I would rather try something like that than lose my Nextfit. 
That's also not a judgement, just the only helpful info I can give. My daughter runs hot and I just made sure her Nextfit was light in color instead of black and have the air vent on her and don't have problems.

We love our Nuna Rava for our son who runs hot.  Fabric is breathable and there are ventilation panels.  Love it.  Worth every penny!

My daughter sweats so bad in the car. We switched her to a Clek Foonf and it's really helped. It sits a little higher up than the average convertible car seat and I think that helps with air flow. The fabric is also waterproof and different than most seats I've seen, its hard to explain but it's not a soft squishy fabric that makes babies hot. She sleeps like a dream in it though so I know she's comfy. It's also a narrow seat which I think helps with air flow too.

If you are a big Chicco fan they have the new air vent convertible car seat we switched my son out of his britax elite at 4 months and into this one he is also a hot baby and seems to do fine in this

The best car seat ever. My son is 2 and has been in this car seat since about 6months. He would sweat in the infant car seat we had and he would scream and cry and I found this one and it's been awesome. Here in Florida it's so hot and humid and even with my car being so hot the car seat stays cool.

Hi there! I work in a boutique selling car seats, so I've actually gotten to know quite a few. My favorites are the Clek foonf, a higher end car seat that is designed for comfort and extended rear facing. They also make the fllo which is a slightly smaller version of the foonf. It has a different base which makes it shorter. 
The other one I really like and the one I actually have for both my kids who are also warm little nuggets, are the Diono Radian Rxt convertible car seats. It's a wonderful car seat that will last! It can be used as a backed booster seat when they grow out of the harness even. 
The fabric on both brands is really comfy and doesn't seem to make the kids too hot. Both have a pretty simple design without a lot of the crazy cushioning that is in some car seats.
