Is seeking attention really that wrong?

I see posts often where women who are clearly beautiful and have even created posts about their own body confidence on this site in the pat will make a post asking if they're pretty/thin/look good enough in a clear attempt to get attention. My question is, is it really that bad? I see so many comments saying, "You clearly just want attention" and "don't post shit like this" but why? If they want a boost of confidence isn't that what we as a community of women are here for? What's so wrong about wanting to be paid attention to? Maybe people initially get angry because its a (very transparent) attempt at manipulation, I don't think anyone that's graduated from middle school would be fooled by something like that 😅 what are your thoughts on attention posts? Where does the stigma surrounding attention seekers come from?
