Anyone else being induced early cause the baby isn't growing fast enough?

My doctor isn't letting me go past 38 weeks! My baby has been measuring small since I was 28 weeks. She isn't gaining enough weight each week. So the baby will probably will weigh about 5-6 lbs by the time I'm induced. I really was hoping for a spontaneous labor but it looks like that probably won't happen.

I may not have to be induced now! Baby is in the 15th percentile. I am 34 weeks now and I will see the specialist in 2 weeks. As long as the baby continues to grow and stays on the growth chart scale I will be able to go full term!

My first baby was 5.1 lbs at birth. They called it interutine growth restriction. I was so worried after reading stories about it. She came out just fine, but tiny. Has never had any issues and is completely average now

I had an ultrasound today. I found out the baby is growing, but she dropped early. She also has been keeping her feet more towards my back, so the uterus is higher than the midwives thought!

I find out Wednesday april 1 about the results of my bpp ultrasound. I hope everything turns out good for the both of us!😊🙏

Ultrasound, they measure head circumference, abdomen circumference and femur length of the baby. They did this measurement at 28 weeks. I'm now 32 weeks. It's called biophysical profile ultrasound test.

Update! I'm now 37 weeks and the plan is to induce at 39 weeks! Baby girl weighed about 5 lbs 3 oz at my 36 week appointment!

I've been measuring small since 21 weeks. Then it was just 4 days behind by the ultrasound measurements. At my last appointment I had only gained an ounce in 2 weeks, and the fundal height was 2 weeks behind. Next week I have my follow up ultrasound to see if she's grown or not. I'm hoping that she's growing and I'm just losing fat since I was overweight to begin with!

I'm sorry you are going through this. It sounds stressful but try to focus on the positive. You know exactly when you will meet your LO!

Btw, how did your doc know that your baby wasn't growing?  By measuring your weight and how big your tummy has grown??
