Confused...

I recently suffered a miscarriage and my boyfriend was all for me not having the baby in the first place. I'm totally against abortion, so no matter how hard he pushed, I didn't want one. Now after we find out that I miscarried, he's telling me that he was looking forward to having the baby around. So I suggested that we wait the appropriate amount of time to grieve over the loss and start trying again and he's completely against it now! He's gone back to being the I don't want another kid right now! (He has a kid with an ex girlfriend.) I don't understand, does he want it to happen accidentally? He confuses me so much about this subject...
