NIPPLE PIERCINGS 101
Hey lovely ladies! I've come across so many topics about nipple piercings on here so I thought I'd help some of you out by sharing my experience with them so far!
Before I got them done I'd wanted my nipples pierced for so long and one day while I was out with a friend; we randomly decided to bite the bullet and do it together.
I've heard so many rumours about pain, whether you need to have the "correct" type of nipple (not inverted, "it looks better on people with smaller nipples" etc) and I'm telling you right now, it's all a load of crap. Nipple piercings suit everyone. It doesn't matter what kind of nipples you have, they will be able to pierce them! Trust me!
I'm not going to lie, I am not a fan of needles whatsoever. I am totally terrified and I can't even tell you what made me so excited about getting a needle shoved through one of the most sensitive parts of my body but I did it 😂
Fast forward, we got to the piercer but before you get them done I highly recommend you do some research about where you are getting them pierced. I cannot stress this enough! You want to make sure you are in safe hands with people that are qualified and most importantly hygienic! The place that I went to was recommended to me by many friends and I've been inside once before as another friend of mine had her smiley piercing done there.
🇦🇺 For anyone that lives in Sydney Australia; Industrie8 in Cabramatta is where I got mine done! 🇦🇺
In Australia you legally have to be 18 years old or over to get your nipples pierced; just keep that in mind!
They started off by cleaning the area around the nipple, and marking the dots on either side of the nipples to make sure the barbell would sit nice and straight (I just got the standard horizontal barbell). I was then given the heads up that she was about to put the needle through. I was always told it would just feel like a pinch but it honestly hurt so much that if I ever had to repierce them I wouldn't even do it 😂 I'd never had anything pierced before my nipples so I wasn't sure what to expect and let me tell you I started to feel really faint. They slipped the barbell through and secured the balls on the end of my newly pierced nipple. It was sore and I was so dizzy that they sat me up, grabbed my water bottle and gave me a lolly pop. Don't be alarmed by my experience as I'm honestly just such a baby with needles and pain 😂 Once the colour returned back into my face they did the other one and the pain for both was about the same but I knew what to expect for the second one so I didn't find it AS bad.
I paid $140 for both nipples including my antiseptic spray and salt water spray
(Also keep in mind as there is a service fee of about $5 - $10)
In the car ride home they were quite sore and very very sensitive. After a few hours the pain subsided but I continued to care and clean them to prevent an infection or irritation.
As for care, cleaning them is a must. You need to be 100% dedicated to having nipple piercings as they are one of the hardest piercings to heal and require some maintenance afterwards. The healing time is roughly between 10 - 12 months. My right piercing (the wings) is completely healed after 9 months and I'm still waiting for my left one to catch up 😂 They will snag on things very very easily and when they do it hurts a lot and they can bleed. I also don't recommend changing your nipple jewellery before having them for less than 6 months as they are still very prone to getting infected.
As for intimacy with my boyfriend, my nipples are a lot more sensitive (I can't speak for everyone as I've heard their nipple sensitivity remained the same or even lessened it just depends on the person!) and I just feel so much better about my boobs with them, they've become a part of me 😂 Definitely abstain in any nipple play with nipple piercings if it's been less than 6 months as saliva and dirty hands can cause them to become infected as well.
If you have any other questions please just leave a comment below and I'll try help you out to the best of my ability 💞
(DISCLAIMER: I am not a professional piercer so I'm not 100% accurate with terminology as well as safety/hygiene procedures: I just wanted to share my experience with you all that are curious about getting their nipples pierced 🤗💓)
